I've had a look and I can't find a solid answer to my question
So I want a W8 interior light, I don't fancy drilling holes if I can avoid it and there's an item on eBay that costs 65 quid posted which seems a little steep.
Basically I'm looking for a happy medium if such a thing exists. A cheaper interior light that already has the LED's in it.
I was wondering what other ones fit so I know what to search for. I found a part number for a Passat one but the dealer told me they would have to get it in from Germany especially and I don't even know what it looks like which is annoying cause they said I would have to buy it regardless of whether it fits or not.
Basically, does anyone know what I should be looking for?
If anyone local fancies making me one for some cash then I'd be up for that too ;)
Just crap at DIY

this doesnt have them either but does it fit... just cause it look sliek it does. if I were to end up DIY-ing, I'de rather do it on one like this

Going to be hard to beat that price.

sweet! cheers!
So most of it is self explanatory by the looks of it, I assume the big plug goes into the unit and the small one goes to the original plug.
Where does the long one have to go to?
-
headlight feed. it does the led's
-
It would probably cost about £3 less than that to make it TBH so I'd buy it from there

I'm not savvy enough to know what "headlight feed" is. But I can put two wires together fine.
I assume its one of the wires on a plug to the headlight switch... how do I know which one?

Done! Well that was easy. Now I wish it would get dark a bit quicker :D
