I've only had this car tor just over a week and still getting used to how it drives... braking power, cornering, acceleration, clutch control.
I've found sometimes that when I'm trying to drive as careful as possible that I feel a judder coming through the accelerator when taking off from traffic lights for example.
But if I give it extra revs it's fine.
Is this normal as I've never experienced it before on my past cars. Obviously if a car is going to stall because of lack of revs and no clutch bite then you judder and stop.
But this somehow feels different, like I said, through the pedal.
Is this normal ? Am I just paranoid ? Or what could be wrong ?
-
This is not normal and can normally be fixed with a TB clean. However after scanning your car the other week and seeing code relatin to injectors this could also be the issue as your engine might be starved of fuel because the injectors are not performing as they should be.
Best advice is go to halfords and buy some fuel treatment, pref the one i showed you before cannot remember the name off the top of my head but it cost £15.99. Fill your tank and pour the whole bottle in then take it for a good run ensuring to strech all your gears as much as you can and do it safely. (I.e dont break the speed limit) this will ensure that any carbon deposits on your injectors/valves will clean off.
Also might be a good idea to pop up an see me so i can give your car another scan and see if thoses codes have returned because if they have then you might need new injectors :lipsrsealed:

get a bottle of redline or halfords sts?! i think it is, you need to, as Nino says, keep your revs over 4000 down a motor way in all gears. at the same time it may be useful as well to get the TB cleaned as well as cleaning any gunk from injectors or spark plugs by hand?
-
What engine code have you got?
-
Hes got an AGU
-
Yes it's agu. It just feels as though I need to give extra revs just to avoid the judder at take off, I don't need to excessively rev but if I don't then I feel a bit of judder when reaching clutch bite.
-
Dean u really beed to get it scanned
-
i know mate but ive been really busy lately, somebody must have experienced this in the past though.
-
I have or me personally it was a tb clean needed.
-
try cleaning throttle body but if its juddering when you pull away it sounds like the dual mass is on its way out ! what mileage has it done?
-
It has done 95k and it had new clutch with dual mass flywheel last year at around 84k
