Hi all,
The mk4 started "making a bit of a noise" according to my wife last night on her way home, after a jacking up and inspection this morning I found the problem

My question is, what is my cheapest option here as I am skint lol
But I do want a permanent fix
Cheers for any help

Is that just after the cat? If so get a decat downpipe, job done

One like this. Different coupling end to the turbo.

Easy. Awkward, but do able. Raise it up on axle stands and wear googles and you'll be fine!
-
Haha sound, cheers mate

have a selection of extension bars, sockets and 13mm ring spanner to get to all the exhuast downpipe bolts and youll be fine. all doable from up top

They can be a b!tch but keep at it. Give them a real good soak in WD40 first!! You do not want to go shearing one - Like I did :lipsrsealed:

Hmmmmm just had a bit of a closer look at the listing of that milltek one on eBay and it says it only fits a milltek system
So don't think it's gonna fit a standard back box, or am I wrong ?
-
Does anyone know the standard pipe size ?

You need an adaptor sleeve
Standard exhaust is 2.25. I bought an adaptor sleeve from Jetex as I had a Milltek downpipe fitted to the standard system

Right ok cheers Rhyso
