Hi
Is it safe to fit the forge 007p in reverse on a mapped 1.8t AUM (200 bhp)?
Does it still work properly on the green spring?
Thanks

Why do you want to fit it in reverse mate?
-
I've heard it could react a bit quicker and apparantly makes a nicer recirc noise?
Just wanted to check it wouldnt do any damage though.

doesnt sound too good in reverse and reacts slower IIRC

Oh ok. On the Forge website they say it can be fitted either way, but they recommend fitting the same way as the OE part as its much quieter. It doesn't say anything about loss of performance so thought I'd see if anyone had tried this and what their thoughts were.
I'm after a little more recirc noise but dont want an induction kit

I tried this before out of pure boredom, car was down on power and it sounded like a Glanza. I personally wouldn't bother.

it wouldn't help , its a pressure loop and designed in a way that the positive boost pressure from the manifold helps to keep the piston closed under boost with the 007 in the correct way . When its reversed it throws the balance out meaning spring and boost pressure from the manifold struggle to keep the piston closed as the other side of the 007 has boost acting on it from head on type of thing instead of from the sides, resulting in loss of power

Ok. On forge's website it says either way is fine?
Will and upgraded panel filter in standard air box amplify the dv sound?
Cheers
