Title: new member West coast Scotland
Post by: peeliewally on 10 May 2013, 15:45
Hello all,

Have owned my mk5 Golf GTi since March but have been a member on the mk5golfgti.co.uk forum since just before i bought the car. Will be picking people's brains from time to time. My car is used for mainly commuting but i hope to return it to as near to oem condition as i can. Its going in next week to get some rust bubbling fixed so that will be my starting point, Gary

believe me I have tried. Been dealing with VW executive office and I even emailed VW UK managing director Simon Thomas. I cant be bothered with the hassle anymore. I just want my car fixed so I accepted their 75% offer.

wonder why they didn't fully approve mine. My sills are rusting where the front wings meet the sills and there are a few little tiny bits beside the seats on the flat bits of the sills.
