Title: Golf Mk4 1.8t 20v - Brakes
Post by: SamP061192 on 09 May 2013, 15:19
hi all, car is in need of new brakes and pads, at the moment it is running standard brakes but car is 209bhp.

looking around at new brake kits and was thinking would it be worth getting the 312 discs? what else would i have to change if i was to use this conversion? or is it best just to get drilled and grooved standard size?

thanks.

312mm is a good upgrade, you'll just need carriers, discs and pads -your 288mm calipers will be fine to use.

I honestly wouldn't bother with drilled and grooved discs, just make sure that you get a decent set of vented ones and they'll be fine.
