Forgot to add it a home ported head with mildish cams 276/268 IIRC. And obviously a 2.1

KR top end i take it?
-
I wouldn't have thought so. I think it's probably an ABF.
-
It must be a abf bottom end bored with a mk2 head with mechanical injection
-
You can fit kjet to an ABF to a complete ABF engine.
-
Is there any reason why anyone would do that u would think electronic injection woupd be miles better than kjet
-
It is, but its a crude way if getting it to run. And it will run well enough.
If you have a kjet car, you can swap over the bits to the ABF block to get you running without extra wiring.

Am I in the wrong section? :undecided:
Could have sworn that wasn't a mk3 :lipsrsealed:
-
Think I'll get a set of carbs then!
And hurry up and get my 2.1 engine sorted!

You're right. But this is where all the 200hp 16v talk happens. There's not an engine section but its a mk3 based engine.

I think it's an early KR head, DIY reworked by a bloke in his shed
This engine is going to switch to EFI & BMW based throttle bodies sometime in the near future.
This will clear up the is it better on KJet topic, but you can't deny it is a brilliant result for a 4 cylinder still using the KJet & 16v intake manifold.

Hmmm.
