Title: back to terrorise the mk4 section
Post by: jamie16v on 09 May 2013, 11:44
just a word of advice guys, i`m back. i scrapped the renault scenic yesterday as its french and was falling to bits. the missus passed her test and got the dub vibe.. ( she got a new vw up  ).
So now, my golf is going back on the road within the next two weeks. she`s been sat in the garden gathering tree sap and mould for the last year and a half  and now she wants to see some tarmac.
i look forward to terrorising you all soon!
love jamie!

Alright Jamie! We were at similar stages under mk4 ownership if you remember, I've hauled mine out and it's going in a mk2 now.

Welcome back fella.

thanks for the welcome guys. i ended up buying a chinese turbo for the car due to short funds and all that being a mature student  :embarrassed:..
it was the k04-001 but on inspection i turns out its a k03 platform but with full k04 internals by looking at it.
it was from XS-power about a year and a half ago and they describe it as being simular to the E05 hybrid.
i moved house since then and no longer have a garage to work on the car in  (missus got her way with that one) lol .
the turbo itself appears to be o.k. i`ve not had it on the road yet to test it yet but i got some load on the engine and it seems to boost up o.k.
the car itself is pretty much the same as how i left it before i moved house apart from fitting an oil catch tank.
i got the mot next friday and hope to tax it the same day so rave on

indeed they were, untill you do a saxo vts conversion to 4 stud and use the vts lump and you got a quick little motor. the GT was a quick little car as it stood.. obviously nothing to todays standards but a great car when youre just 18 ... and other people your age had 1.1 mk2 fiesta popular plus`s lol
