Title: help with wiring

Hi ive just bought some half leather half alcantra recaros out of a s3 and want to put them into my mk4 golf. the seat adjusters are electric and was wondering if theres a way of manually adjusting the seats or whats the easiest way to wire the seat adjusters to my car? Thanks

You just need to run a wire to a grounding point and find a wire which is switched live with the ignition. Cigarette lighter would possibly be a good shout, get yourself a multimeter out and test it then bobs your uncle working electrics.

I did this the other day. The red is the permanent live from the cigarette lighter. Is there enough wire to read or are you having to make your own up?

There are 2 loom on the seat iirc. One loom with 2 wires, for the seat motors, and the other loom with 3 wires for the airbags.
