OK, I know these are an emotive subject, and in an ideal world I wouldn't have them on my car, but my Rocco is white (like the GTD I've ordered) and I've fitted the front flaps only, and it's amazing how much crap and tar they stop the front wheels chucking up on to the car sides (don't bother with the rears). So, do you think VW will have any available at any time (did the MK6 GTD ever have any available) ?

I thought they were available as an accessory on the website

My Roc with no mudflaps has had no tar or stonechips thrown up the sides of the car in 2 years of ownership, are you sure you need them? They've doubled in price since the MK5 prices (£55 for all 4 back then).

The MK6 GTD did have Mudflaps shortly after launch as I've had them fitted all round to all 3 of the GTD's I've had to date. Told my dealer I want a full set for the Mk7 GTD.

To be honest, I know they can be a bit of a moisture trap, but on the Scirocco I fitted some 3m clear protective vinyl where the mudflaps touched the paintwork, and take them off every 3 months or so for a good clean and seal behind, and so far no issues at all. All looking brand new.
TBH, if they aren't available it's no big thing, as I'm sure I'll be so made up with the car, I won't notice one bit !!
