I have looked around the forum but can't find the answer I'm looking for.
People have described how to remove the gti badges with various bits and bobs like dental floss etc, etc.
But that's only explaining how to remove them , but I want to know how to 're-stick them. I'm asking because I want to take a good badge from my one car and swap it over to my other car but need to know what to use to stick them back because at the moment it seems to be some kind of foam .

easy. trim repair tape. halford sell it etc you get a roll of it and it thin to. peel the backing off and it super sticky. and it also means you can cut it to the shape you need for the letters. you could use tiger seal or similar but have to be careful so as not to put too much on it squirts out around the badge edges at it bugger to clean off

Trim tape and a sharp stanley knife are what you need.

If there's any sticky residue left use a bit of methylated spirit on some rag and wipe it over and then wash it off it should work a treat.
