I love little details like that!
-
Nice find, i was curious about the GTI/D specific keys mentioned in the price list.
-
Very nice indeed, good find
-
Can't wait to get one of those little gems in my sweaty paws.
-
Shame I went for keyless entry now as it will spend most of its time in my pocket!

This, i was contemplating whether or not to put a keyring on it or not?? :undecided:
-
Love it. I'd seen a standard key already so I knew they were different but the little GTI badge is a nice touch.
-
Hey great find M_H
I'm a detail geek too and just love pics like that. I'm guessing the GTD version will be just the same but with GTD logo instead of GTI.
I'm going keyless so won't use it as much as my current set.

Yeah I'm not sure myself now I've seen how cool the key looks naked! I normally do, but I only ever have my car key on there. All other keys and stuff are on a separate keyring in a different pocket. Being keyless, it doesn't need the extra grab-factor out of the ignition, so I'm leaning towards not bothering with a keyring at all. I do have a metal VW one, and a black rubber GTI one like the ED35. I guess time will tell ;)

I'm EXACTLY the same! I have the VW badge one and the rubber GTI one too!

Haha, great minds and all that!
Sometimes less is more, and that could be the case with the new GTI key.
-
Now that's cool, like others was wondering what VW meant by "GTI / GTD specific keys"

Mate keyless is awesome and I love that start button (only with keyless). I would have gone for it, but I had to stop with the options already! Price kept creeping up. In fact, I just about went with sat nav cos of the extra £700 odd i had to fork out.
The GTI key is a nice touch but the novelty will wear off, whereas the convenience of the keyless never will.

Oh it was a tongue-in-cheek comment, no regrets on going keyless mate! I know what you mean on the options though, I've gone a bit mad, but as a keeper I want it to be right.

Ye I agree. After all, that's one of the reasons we buy a new car. I just wanted my gti to stay at 28k tops. went over £300, but my discount was soo good it made it ok.
-
Nice find. I too was wondering that the 'specific' key meant, just thought the VW logo was replaced with a GTI/D one but this is waaaaaay cooler.
Glad I was too stingy for the keyless option.

Yup, that was similar to my budget' but I've gone over by the price of my sat nav that I threw in at the last minute! The wait for this car is going to be killer
