Do you think that's the pure white or Oryx in that video?

Definately Oryx.

Thought it might be. Looks brilliant but too expensive. I'm having a real dilemma over colour just now. Between 3 I think, white, black or carbon grey. Seen all three in the mk6 today and they all look great

Your about 6 weeks behind me! I struggled with white, carbon and silver, ended up going for white and even then wasn't sure!

Tell me about it. I still think I might change it again!

I like the Carbon, my only thing with it is it looks green in some lights and my dad was in two car crashes when he was younger, both as a passenger and both in green cars! Ever since my old girl reckons green is bad luck for a car and it's always stuck with me. :undecided:

If you like an easy life go with white, black and dark grey are a bugger to keep clean and in good condition as they show every little mark and especially swirls in the paint. Don't get me wrong, if you wash your car weekly and are into detailing then nothing looks shinier than black/dark grey. White's just so easy to live with and the contrasts of the red and grey accents on the GTI stand out most on white.

That ad is better than all of Anderson's films
And with regards to colour, I've gone with White, never had a white car, got grey now, had black..swirls were a bugger, red was nice..

Ye, so I'm not the only one that thinks that. I thought it was just me. Maybe in pictures and in the video (particularly the german autobild review) it looks greenish. But then I see these pictures, I think it looks awesome

White is awesome too, but it's going to be an overly popular gti colour judging by the spec thread.

Have you seen a CSG gti in the flesh? I haven't, I'm jut going by the pictures and a couple of youtube vids.
-
Really like the look of carbon grey in those pictures although would be concerned if it had a green tint. Is it the same grey that you could spec with the mk6? The last three cars I've had have all been black and they have been a nightmare to keep clean and the swirl marks are a real pain. I do believe the white would be much easier to maintain but I fear that after 6 months I would be wishing I had went for a darker colour. Grey could be the inbetween choice. Decisions decisions :undecided:

Only on the mk6 (obviously), it is a nice colour in the sun without question but in the usual british weather it can be difficult to get excited about tbh.

CSG is more black than grey

That pic alone should sell ten thousand Carbon Grey models. Simply awesome!
Having said that I've ordered white and I'm really looking forward to it. Never owned a white car before and I don't regret my decision one jot.

The majority of my cars have been white, way before the current trend!

Nice effort from VW as usual.

Loving that Hives backing track on the original ad. One to annoy the sh!t out of my workmates with via youtube and Facebook at some point soon!!!
Mind you, by the time ours arrive it'll be anything but Vegas weather!!!
So glad I went for a white 3 door looking at the ad.
Just like so many others have picked that colour for the same reason no doubt!!

White was the only way! Number of doors is aesthetic, and while I agree it looks better in 3, it pulls of 5 really well, and is far more practical given the passengers I often carry!
