Title: Advice and Help: bulb warning light on, indicator blinking fast
Post by: jim66 on 03 May 2013, 14:08
This only happens randomly. When it happens, the bulb warning light coming on and left indicator blinking fast on dash but indication bulbs indicate in normal speed, the blinking speed could become normal after some time,  all other bulbs are working fine.

Any ideas of what could be the cause?  Thanks.

How peculiar, I can understand if only one of these two happened....but the two together seems like either an ECU/Wiring/Electric issue

(Just out of interest, have you had any mods affecting the ECU i.e. remap recently?)

I'm with Red, sounds like a wiring / ECU issue.

Have you checked the connections on the bulb in the holder - could it be that it is not seated properly and the circuit is breaking?

Other than that it could be the filament that is near the point of failure?

Also,  as it is such a new car, whizz it down to the dealer for them to take a look at!

Thanks all for your replies.

Problem is now resolved - it's a faulty bulb holder for the indicator bulb.
