Recently changed crank shaft sensor, still not fixed the problem, car won't start :( any suggestions please
-
Need more info,
when won't it start, hot or cold?
Any lights flash on dash, such as oil light. Does it cut out or anything?
Have you had it on vag-com? And how come you changed crank sensor?
Need to be more specific?
-
Won't start at all, and the cars putting out no readings.
Few local mechanics thought it could be the crank sensor.
Everything's normal with clocks ect just isn't firing up :( fuel pumps fine ect just doesn't seem to start mate.

Is it sparking?

Is it sparking?
Thats what i would do. If your getting petrol into the engine then check the spark. An old sprak plug on the 1st (drivers side) lead and lean it against the engine if coil pack is good you will see a small spark if not then coil pack is fooked. But make sure you get a good earth by touching the engine side

Have you changed coil recently? I think its your coil.

well firstly you will need another ignition coil, borrow one to try out or buy a new one. It's located under bulkhead, near coolant bottle.
Was your car driving fine before it refused to start?, if so I'm defo sure it's coil.

Get a coil, common to go. They're cheap, not expensive at all.

Mine done the same thing 6mth ago. Coil pack fitted. Sorted it.
