Title: Cleaning painting brake lines-good idea?
Post by: Jasikasisback on 29 April 2013, 20:32
I am in the process of tidying my car up after the salty winter.I have removed most of the salt everywhere (that I can see) and have coated the brake lines in old oil about a month ago. I was wondering if it is wise to clean the brake lines with a wire brush and then paint them with metal paint. I have read lots of threads that state that the best thing is to just grease them up/oil them up...and others that state never paint your brake lines..and others that say it's alright to paint them..
