Love the way they look, but not practical on a 1.8t being 9" wide it tracks like a tram so cant drive it hard without scaring myself :grin:

Going to do a nice spray job on the schmidts and sell them or swap for some d90 7s and 8s hopefully ,I think ,really like th comp aswell at the mo :drool:

Know a guy in west london doing K04 hybrids at cost price if your interested (thats my next plan with rods) cause he refurbs turbos and we send our stuff to him.

you may think its flash but its not really it doesnt run a maf, doesnt run a lambda sensor and doesnt have a knock sensor, doesn run the vvt and im pretty sure it doesnt run the egr sensor thats in the turbo :whistle: :whistle:

I already have one, it's under mk3 anni, was gonna go down the vr6 route but I broke my a3 so seemed daft not too.
Not updated for a bit tho, getting married on Sat n been collecting few parts.

That should say spin spin spin lol im finding traction to be a problem in the wet spinning up in third ,that's with a puney ko3,just picked up a 3s though so it can only get worse :grin:

thought id bring up the question here, seen as its a mk3 20v thread, anyone modified the front to make the intercooler sit further back? and if so how? got a vento front end and us spec front bumper and dont want to have to cut the fins out just fit, would prefere to make it more flush and sleeperish

i was also finless with the smaller interccooler

however i now have the bigger intercooler fitted i had to cut a lot of the bumper out and i also had to take a small notch out the top of the bumper so the intercooler just shows blow the grill

The IC is exact fit with the bumper line
In other words, along the bottom, behind the fins the IC is flush to the bumper all the way, so the car must be wonky haha

I've had the front of since and the front panel where headlights mount is actually wonky, good old VW, so guess will have to cut and plasti weld or re-bolt in some way to make straight and set further back to allow a clean bumper, I'm sure it must be possible without having to get a new intercooler!

Battery relocated to boot with Mk5 R32 engine bay jump points
2 1/2 pipework everywhere (all inlet and exhaust pipework) except airfilter to turbo which is 3" including MAF
Then call up R-Tech to work their magic

No LSD as of yet screech, once im out of overdraft ill start looking for a new box to do some work to, thinking mk3 16v box, diesal 5th gear and wavetrac LSD as ive heard good things, then just swap the lot over one day.
For now though, ill just have to swap the 8J teledials to the front when i go santapod :grin:

- Running standard managment
