Depends how much of a fat b@stard he is really!!!! :) but should be ok in back of a mk2 maybe a mk3 tank would be better suited though ;)
put your small rims back on for the mission don't want to ding them lovely shiny Brocks now do you!?
-
i'm not sure i'd want to be doing it... good luck though!
i'm beginning to think your a touch mental knobby!!!!
-
U surely gotta be a tad mental to wanna cut ur own arches... fit a 2L bottom end urself and then drive it on the road... he he...
ALL GOOD FUN!

i kind meant it seems like you've only been here a week or so and you've gone from "just got a golf!!" to "just taken a grinder to it" to "just fitted a new head" to "now i want a g60" to "just got coilovers" to "now i want a 2ltr" to "i want a piper 285" to trying to fit a mk3 engine in your boot!!!
i can't keep up with you!!!
-
Just call me Richard Dickinson.. i am the BARGAIN HUNTER!!!!!
Hey joe.. where did u buy ur cam and pulley???
was gonna fit the G60 but its too big a jump.. silly to spend so much cash when i have just got my 8v running right so its off to derby tomorrow to pick up a Mk3 2L bottom end to fit my PB 8v... should be fun!
Respray next!!!
-
i bought it from c&r enterprises, i think you'll need a respray, at least around the tailgate, where you bash the hell out of it lifting the engine in and out!!!!
-
well think im gonna put me old rims on.. give me slightly more travel... was gonna borrow a van but it should go in no probs...
Got 4 blokes to give us a hang lifting it in.. Were laughing no probs.. LOL
-
joe.. what u pay for them?
Cheers

Well it went in.. Sat her on a small pallet.. wouldnt have been to keen to have done it without the pallet, helped spread the weight loads and gave something to strap it down to. Four of use to lift it in... and three to lift it out.. You could do it with two of you but it would be a struggle...
LET THE CONVERSION COMMENCE!!

As well as being mental, you must have
1) a bottonless wallet
2) the eye for what you want for your car

I keep telling everyone... I'm Richard Dickinson... THE BARGAIN HUNTER!!!!
Hey... im gonna try and note everything down while doing the job, take a few picies while i'm doing it so I can put a report or a brief "How To" it won't be the right way.. but it will certainly be "my way"!
Before I do anything.. I want to rebuild the 2L bottom end.. Any advice on this would be appreciated. The car had done 94k so i'd say it is well worth doing while ive got the engine out.
Cheers guys..
