Title: Slammed = More MPG on motorway?
Post by: Sonic B0000M on 26 April 2013, 21:44
I swear since I've slammed my car im getting at least 4-5 mpg more at 70mph on motorway.

Can anyone confirm that this could be due to be lowered so less drag.

Rear is as low as coilovers go. Front is lowered to match rear.

Or has my car decided to run better this last week.

yeh warmer weather helps, this week i used a quarter tank less and still do the same amount of driving. think i may need to get my thermo checked though as its still reading 28.3mpg even though ive practically used less fuel  :undecided:

Could possibly be due to the fact that the lower you go, the less contact the tires have with the road,
Less rolling resistance due to only running on the inner edge instead of the sitting flat?

I may just be mad ofcourse.
