Anyone else's air con noisy? I'm getting a squeaking noise like something is turning?
-
Glad you've said this, thought it was me imagining it? Mine only seems to be when on the lowest setting on Auto, yours?
-
Yep,the same. In for a service next week see what they say.

Please let us know cos I'll get mine booked in if its a recognised warranty issue.
-
Will do

Mine sounds like a bag of nails, booked in for MOT & warranty work on the 7th May, so have asked them to look at the air con too!
They are sorting an annoying rattle in the passenger door, & an intermittantly faulty folding mirror switch too! When it was recently serviced they kindly changed all 4 centre caps under warranty. lovely, sweet VW!

Ok cars back from the dealers today, no issues found but the tech thought it was air bouncing of a closed vent  not really convinced but will keep an eye/ear on it. I'm on an used car extended warranty so any 'no faults found' I'm liable labour costs if further investigation is requested.

mine has the same thing, I thought it was my engine at first until I turned the heater off.
-
So, I finished early today and gave the wife's cab a good clean ready for the weekend so this meant she had to take mine. She pulls up on the drive and says "you would tell me if you'd done anything to your engine on your car" straight away I laughed and said its the bloody air con.
Gonna have to get it booked in as its doing my head in!
-
I have now opened all my vents not heard the noise so far
-
I'll check mine tomorrow but I'm fairly sure all my vents are open?

Did she think you'd secretly had it mapped?
Hope you get it sorted ok.

God knows, if I had my car tuned ad it sounded like that I'd definitely be taking it back!

Ok, the dealer has had my car for 4 days so far! It's in for 1st MOT, noisy air con, faulty folding mirror switch & an annoying rattle coming from the passenger door/A pillar. They cannot find the source of the rattle & have sent it to their body shop site for investigation! They think it might be coming from the roof! Has anyone had a similar rattle that has been rectified, & could share with me? I do have a courtesy car but would like mine back!
Cheers!

Pair of sunglasses rattling in the overhead storage? I've had that before and was convinced it was the car until I removed them.
-
Still no noise from mine since opening the vents dirrence may be the car if filling with cool air not hot.

Ha Ha ....Made me think after reading this... I've had an annoying rattle from passenger door for ages, kept asking various passengers where it was and they couldn't trace it...... Turns out it was sunglasses in the storage... removed them tonight and the rattle has gone, feel a right numpty

Always check the storage first
I've got an annoying vibration noise coming from passenger door. First thing I did was empty glovebox and all other storage bins, but the noise still persists!! Just have to turn music up loud to drown it out.

Turned out to be not enough tension in the near-side wing, discovered by the VW body shop! All under warranty, so pleased to have a quiet car again.
