Title: mk4 agu cambelt change
Post by: dodger on 22 April 2013, 16:43
hi guys over the last few days ive been getting a sqeeking noise coming from the cambelt area so i removed the cover to find a bent tensioner on the cambelt. it wobbles alot while the cars running and its only been on there 3 years/17k from when i had it done last. i havent really got the money atm for a garage to change the belt but i was told that they self tension the cambelt? is this true? i havent got an issue with lining the timing up but im worried about over or under tensioning the belt. is it as straight forward as it looks? cheers
