Title: Photo competition... win free stuff for your mk6
Post by: Autobulbs on 22 April 2013, 09:53
Ok only catch is we want pics after you get your winnings!

This will run until 20th May :)

We have an Osram interior light kit HERE (http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/OSRAM-501-LED-Cool-White-Interior-Bulbs.html) RRP £59.99 now being sold at £35.00 for you on the forum!
We will be giving this away free to the winner but would love to see some before and after (a short review) of the item please.
Also we will be throwing in a set of THESE (http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/H15-Upgrade-Headlight-Bulb-Kit.html) to upgrade the look of those drab DRL's (sorry all you with xenons they wont be much help for you...)

The Competition

Best Photo of your MK6 will win.
The theme of the photo competition will be Motion.  e.g moving or driving or even something else moving around or past... think outside the box

To this you must have both your own MK6 Golf in the photo and something relating to motion

Here are the rules PLEASE try follow them.

MOST IMPORTANTLY - HAVE FUN

Autobulbs new Photo Competitions. (these are just generic rules for photo comps to keep it fair)

With the prizes we will send these within the UK free of charge, however international postage is available but will be required to pay for by the winner due to the extra cost.
We would love the winners to review/take photos of their winnings for others to see and get involved although clearly this is not a requirement.
There are some rules and information for the new competition which I will place in this thread and link within each competition.
-No Photoshop/Editing we want to see raw photography not post editing suite skills.
-The photo must incorporate the given theme of the month
-Your VW Golf must be incorporated in the photo.
-The photo must be taken on or after the date of the competition, no oldies.
-You may only post 1 entry per person.
-Site admin/our decision is final.
-After the winner is selected (through a vote) we need a high res copy of the image (these may be featured on our blog etc.)
-Anyone thought to be cheating, taking photos from other sites or not adhering to the rules will be blocked from the current and all future competitions.
-We have worked hard with the site coordinators to bring this to you with great prizes and interesting themes so stick to the rules have fun and enjoy voting for the winner.
-This competition is meant to be FUN! So get snapping!

Finally if there is enough of you we will produce a calendar for the forum with all the best photos in it for you to hang up at work. (so you can lust after going for a rag instead of being a desk jockey!)

Trying to get some fun guys the prize is just a bit of incentive to get involved...

I dont want to be negative on a competition but I have a concern, you want motion incorporated into the photo and the most obvious way to do that is the car being driven... which comes to the catch, your rules state

"The photo must be taken by you"

Without out sounding rude but I cant take a picture of my car and be driving it... so can a relative / friend do the photo work for me ?

Thanks!

Paul

I spent almost £2k in the first 6 weeks owning the car on various parts. glad I paid out for the milltek, I reckon it's my favourite mod to date.

will keep an eye on the classifieds, thanks for the tip!

Ohhh sorry guys, was just trying to get some fun involved... its tough on a forum where everyone is jumping to be negative... its a free give away for a bit of fun with a photo... the idea is that you get a pic of your own car not someone elses' Meant to be fun were not the gadget show making money out of it... just a bit of entertainment...

Maybe we wont bother next time? :P

I get what you are trying to do, but in your link, the interior LED's are now £30, not £60 as you told us in your first post. Also opinions differ with regards to the blue H15 covers. I've seen a T5 with some round by me, so I've made my mind up about them.

I understand with the H15's as they are an interim as we are in talks with Ring to develop some proper H15 upgrades at the moment (believe their is a post on here about it but not enough interest to push it along.)
The interior bulbs were dropped in price the day I put the post up and were dropped specifically for me signing up to this forum so I will update the post for you now, osram designated the RRP at £59.99 :)

Ok guys so thread updated, sun is out, no excuse not to whore your car!

haha keen eyes those mate! I had the side lights turned on so the crappy yellow DRL lights weren't on the pics. I just guess you can't tell the tail lights are on because of the sun.

You know you can just turn the DRL's off?

1)Light switch to off.
2)Hold indicator lever down and back (left indicator and flash)
3)switch on ignition and wait for the "bong"

Should now be off, to put them back on do the same but indicate right.

 ;)

Appreciate that, rewards for your effort :) I hope the H15 work and fit for you but please be very careful... Once we sort out proper H15 upgrade bulbs things will be much better. The interior bulbs really are top quality though.
