Title: Big bumper
Post by: fad90 on 21 April 2013, 22:01
Hi.
Can anybody recommend a product to bring back bumpers to black and stay black for as long as possible.
I have tried auto glym but returns to faded grey.

Cheers Andy

I use black wow. Lasts about 3 months and then need's re-applying.

Nothing seems to last long from what I've read, linseed oils, hot air gun (which I'm told over a long period knackers the plastic) back to black etc etc.

Degrease with strong degreaser and then go over it with some bodyshop panel wipe for a deep clean.
Evenly heatgun and then apply Carpro Dlux or Gtech

without heatgun...

Nothing that lasts longer than 3 months?

Poorboys trim restorer.

Best I've used in 10yrs of owning Mk2's.

As this one is 'best', does it last longer than 3 months of daily use?

Probably not but I'll bet it costs a lot more.

It's quite cheap (£10ish) and nothing will last more than 3mths unless you're using the Würth dye, which is, as it says a dye.
