Title: Fuel gauge Problems
Post by: Fiishbmx on 21 April 2013, 20:44
ok so i fitted a decat downpipe yesterday, drove to my misses today about 35 miles away, i was on half a tank and was the on petrol light by the time i got there, i first thought decat is making it use alot more thought nothing of it...

I went to a shell, filled my car up full tank, normally when i come on petrol light it costs me £70 to fill up, only took £58 this time, witch was odd, started my car back up, and engine light was still on? thought was strange turnt it off a few times and back on still no change.. disconnected the battery and reconnected, no difference, was playing with the car in the garage for about ten minutes by then it went from the first red line, to empty.. and now it does not do anything but sit on empty with engine light on? i checked the petrol had actually filled up and it had..

Has anyone had this problem or know anyone with a mk6 that has had this??

any replies will be great!!

Thanks steve x

Have you had the stage 2 Revo map flashed on, as you need this with an aftermarket down pipe.

Nope, not had stage 2 put on yet, you can run it without it, only reason for stage 2 is to delete the engine management light from coming one due to the readings on the lambda's but mine hasnt come on anyway!
