I finally have a golf estate td. I was just wanting to know if hatchback coilovers fit on an estate?
-
been covered a lot so a quick use of the search function will give you an answer I feel
-
I did a few searches and drew a blank. I've then searched again with the same keywords and its brought up answers. Is there a reason the back setup is different? Is it for weight reasons?
-
Yeah the rears have a different set up and like you mention I should imagine it's to cope with the extra potential payload in the boot. Been a TD as well it should have a higher spring rate up front as well due to the heavier engine.
-
So am i gonna need specific td estate coilies? Or just estate ones?

You will need them to suit a TD estate
-
Wayne's used the best words: need to suit....
You'll probably find estate coil overs that suit Diesels in addition to the "heavier" 4 cyl. petrols 1.8 and 2.0....

Gotta love a wagon
Not that im biased or anything...
Need tdi coilies though bud

I'm confused now. Haha. So what coilovers do i def need. Do i have options? Has anyone got a link to a few? Im wanting to sit it low as possible on g60 steels. Just.need the coilies to do it.

normal hatchback ones wont work for you, well the front will, its the back thats the issue

Where's my best bet to get them? I've had a butchers on ebay. But have been ripped off on my last three purchases. Can anyone link me?
