Firstly I am terrible with technology! I was checking Youtube for digital dash's last night as I am going to convert my MK3 dash using a GTE dash. Whilst looking I found this. My daughter installed it on to this flash Samsung phone I have. I took my car out for a drive afterwards, it looks great and works really well. Towards the end of the video is how to install it.

Looks interesting, ive literally just installed the Navia HUD app from the Play store on my Galaxy S3. My main initial concerns are how my phone is going to stay in place on top of my mk3 dash, especially going round corners?

It's OK - canals are normally straight and have low speed limits.
Your phone should be fine.
(Just getting in there before Thom)

I believe the question is regarding when he's on open waters such as the sea or doing a coastal run.

Non-slip dash matt.
I used to use aHud.Cams (actual name) on my iPhone but couldn't be arsed to use it every time plus it'll drain your battery. This one alerts you on speed cameras as well.
