Title: Help, charger not working...

My charger that came with my Sony Alpha A200 has given up I think. :(

I know it isn't the battery as I have 2, the stock one and a 3rd party too, it is charging neither.

Basically when the battery is in the little light is on, but now it isn't coming one, so left it for an hour, tried both batteries and it is not charging at all :(.

So my question is, I have found a nice, cheap, fast delivered charger on Ebay from a good seller that I have bought from before, and it has a car charger.

Are 3rd party chargers ok? Would you go for it?

I don't think it's going to be any less dodgy than using a 3rd party battery and at least with the charge it won't go anything to your camera. The worst that could happen will be that it cooks one of your batteries.

I had a 3rd party charger for my old bridge camera and that was fine.

Can you not find a Sony charger on ebay?

If you do buy it, charge your 3rd party battery in it first, so that you don't ruin your original Sony battery.

I think that's what I would worry about it ruining the batteries. I would get on this quick.
