Title: A Wet Carpet (No It's not what you're thinking)!

After a few days of heavy rain in a (now) sunny Berkshire I went into the back of my Mk2 this morning and noticed that the carpet behind (and indeed now in front of) the drivers seat is absolutely soaked.
I have no Idea where it came from. Any suggestions?
looks like about a pint of water all told.

normally comes through the doors on mk2's take the door cards off and make sure that the plastic sheeting inside is there and not come off.

Oh and the car has a sunroof too but the seal is fine and not rotted away, so I don't think it's coming from there.

If you get stuck I also live in sunny Berkshire and could help you have a look, plus I have tons of spare plastic sheeting left over from when I fixed the seals in my Driver and GTI :)

I live in Bracknell so just down the road
