I have 4 days off, Thurs - Sun, with only a round of golf planned. Now I need to give the wagon a full detail and in the past have felt rushed getting it all done in one day. So was thinking...
Day 1: Thorough wheel and body wash/sills etc, clay, de tar, de ironize, quick jet down then clean the interior hoover etc.
Day 2: Wash, polish, glaze, wax.
Just after a few opinions, I know it isn't ideal, and I'd plan to do this on a days when it wouldn't rain. :rolleyes:
Also, should I de tar/ironize pre or post glaze, I always forget! :undecided:

Hi Scarr, do your final rinse after washing then ironx and de tar before claying, this will minimise further marring ;)
Then polish,glaze,wax :)
Your plan sounds good to me but as you say not ideal, just be thorough when you wash on day 2 and you should be fine.

I agree with the above comment as removing the fallout and tar before will leave less work for the clay to do and will help reduce the chance of marring the paint.
i think that you have a good plan there. My advice would be either do the interior between the glaze and wax step. as the glaze is curing do the interior and then by the time your done will be ready to wax. that will help cut the overall time of the detail down. but in all honestly as you are spending two days on the car i think you will have plenty of time.

I was thinking I'll have 2 1/2 days, so I'll be able to fit other things in as well. A hard slog all in one day is a killer and could be tight. 2 day details it is :smiley:
