Hello fellas new to the tdi scene I picke up a gt tdi 150 other week ran fine till yeaturday and I turned if f the cr to drop a mate off then as I went off again 200 meters down the road no power wouldn't budge above 2000 revs so I turned off the car hoping it to be a fault code but started up again and still the same for about 6-800 meters then suddenly all the power was back to normal and been fine since.
Now I know this happened on my dads old Peugeot 406 and it turned out to be fuel blockage/ the manual fuel pump
Can you please confirm or otherwise diagnose a possible outcome to this problem I have :)
Thanks in advance fellas

Verryyy strange :undecided:
Do you have access to VAGCOM? If so, scan it. That will probably tell you straight away.
It could have been an extreme case of sticky VNT, sticking for a good few seconds and then re opening. Hard to say...
What is your fuel filter like, perhaps give it a change and see if you notice a change.

well i did have a code reader for my mk4 gti 1.8 turbo and it worked on that but not on this diesel then i found out that this gt tdi is an import does that make any difference??
and what is this VNT?? well im giving it a good service at the end of the month so im going change all the filters then :)

yea found out from vw that it was originally sold in germany..... when bitish soldiers are based there they get tax free cars and they then bring them over here eventually so it a uk spec import lol

Oh cool. Well I imagine the code reader will work, no reason why not. Give it a whirl.
