Title: Fixing Trade-In Value : GTDs

Hi...just joined today. Have a silver 2010 mk6 GTD with 17" mid-grey metallic Monzas which make car stand out. I may trade for new mk7 GTI/GTD early 2014. With such long order dates....maybe 5/6 m in reality, how can I "fix" the value of my GTD at the time of "haggling"so I know how good any deal is and whether affordable? Local dealer doesn't offer any certainty but how do other members bolt the deal down?

I have plenty of experience buying cars and have never come across a dealer who is prepared to give a guaranteed trade in value, further than two months.
