Title: Q about oil cooler on 8v

Read that the Golf GTI has an oil cooler... Now, i thought an oil cooler was this:

And i dont have one of them on the Golf!

What exactly is the oil cooler or, does mine not have one for some reason :o

The mk2 uses an oil cooler that is cooled by the engine coolant rather than forced air.
If you look at the housing the oil filter screws onto you'll notice that it has a couple of water hoses attached, that's your oil cooler.

Ah yea. The filter sits on a block which has 3 or 4 pipes in it
