Title: Gti accelerator pedal install

Hi guys,
           Got a gti accelerator pedal I want to install in my mk5 gt. the install looks really easy but I am wondering if I will have any issues once its installed? Do I need vagcom to reset anything or is it a straight forward swap. Any help would be great
