Title: Golf Mk3 AAZ engine question
Post by: WeekendMechanic on 12 April 2013, 17:50
I bought my Golf with an induction kit installed I don`t want it there anymore and I want to put an original air box in.
But like i said I bought it with an induction filter so I don`t know what it had originally, there an empty electrical plug were the original air box used to be which I think its for the air box?Anything else I have to connect up to be properly installed like original, what do I have to buy?
Thanks.

Tht induction kit was it a chep universal one my guess tht sensor thts missing is air intake temp sensor as u cant fit it on a cheap induction kit my k n induction kit has a hole to put it in on the filter the cold air feed pipe should come with a airbox sensor ill doubt youll get one with a airbox best goto scrappie as the sensor is removable quick question this wire how many pins is it is it a 2 pin

2 pin why?,so the pipes that come with the airbox don`t connect to anything else right, and how does it attach to the car does it need clips?

I just needed to confirm wht sensor it was 2 pin is air temp sensor try find a scrappie most of the time u have to remove the parts yourself so u can get all the bits u need if its there or go on ebay and have a look on there ask sellers if the sensor is attatched
