Something I have done as I save up for a complete exhaust system was to cut out the silencers between the down pipe and back box. The centre silencer can just be removed and replaced with straight pipe while the second silencer will have to be cut and welded unless you want to bend it. Just find out the pipe diameter of your ride and buy some pipe. I think 8v is 2" standard and 16v is 2 1/2" but double check.

A Jetex sounds quite nice and fine at motorway speeds.

That exhaust is 2" mild steel. Apart from the back box I reckon it won't sound much different from original. If I was spending for a new exhaust I would want stainless steel.

I would go for Jetex or Magnex, Scorpion tends to be very loud

I have the sportex full system and im very happy with it. Certainly makes it a more enjoyable driving experience. Very crisp and definable exhaust note. It is pretty loud but tbh thats what i was going for. People can hear me coming a long way off and in there houses too. Can be a bit tiring on the ears on the motorway at high speeds.

One thing i would say on fitting is that i found the backbox hanger positions are a little off and subsequently had to use differnet length hangers.

Would recommend to anyone, great value for money.

Are there any SS options for Jetta drivers? I've always considered getting a Jetex System but the only option they do have is a aluminized steel version. Not saying that it is bad and it will certainly last for a long time, but any other calls?
