can somebody please tell me how to make the clock visible permanently when driving as it goes back to mfa or mga when driving its so annoying not knowing time.

never known this before, my mfa stays on whatever i set it to, ie; time, temp etc, if you still have a warranty take it to the stealer (dealer) and ask them to have a look, if not get some one with a laptop and the vag-com software and leads to have a look, they may be able to help!, try the mk4 web site on the links page!
