Anyone experienced problems with windows on any VW group cars opening themselves whilst car was parked?
My 2012 Golf has done this and I am aware of some others, but VW are denying such a proeblem.

Are they opening all the way or just a bit? If it's the latter then it might be this:
If you hold your finger on the unlock button on the key remote for a couple of seconds, all the windows open a couple of inches. Similarly if you hold down the lock button they go back up. It's a pain, but you can disable in in the multi function menu. Think it's under convenience menu - window opening/closing. This has been mentioned in a few of the mk6 threads too.

Thanks for the reply, I am aware of the 'global' open/close feature, don't believe it was the cause and have since disabled it. Just trying to find out how common the problem is. Cheers Mick

Been a common issue on a lot of the models since mk4 onwards, not just Golfs, across entire VW, Skoda, Seat ranges... no one seems to be able to pinpoint the issue (which means marques can poo poo it as a non fault a lot easier)
Common thoughts are it's either a fault on the CCM, water ingress, dried out solder joint.... any other number of options or it's a thermal regulation type response. Get's too hot in the car, the windows crack open a bit to stop a pressure build up. I don't personally buy the second reason.
Ultimately no body knows for sure, but I HIGHLY doubt that it is the global opening feature being triggered all the time.

My MK3 8v used to open the passenger window when you opened the drivers door, and the drivers window button would open the sunroof....
