Bought this yesterday.
There's no white sticker in the boot. I haven't got the log book through yet and the service book is a duplicate with chassis/engine number but no colour code.

What say y'all?
Cheers

Really hard to tell for sure from pictures. If you call a VW dealer they should be able to tell you the paint code if you tell them your number plate.
-
My initial thoughts are LA6U but there quite a few variations of colours very close to this.
-
Thanks Thai. At the moment you're the closest i've got.
Having a devil's own job tracking this down.
Dealer can only source the colour back via chassis number to 'Alpine White'
But he confirmed that it wasn't a re-spray and that is a standard colour.
Next move I guess is to get to a body shop and see what they can do.
Anyone else had to faff around this much for a colour code?
-
Ouch... At least he thinks it's a factory color. Anyway, good luck mate
-
I think it's montana green LB6Z as it looks to light to be LA6U (capri green)
google both colours (names and code) and see what shows up (LA6U is a launch colour... LB6Z covered a couple of years maybe even 92-94)
I have a fullish colour guide but the print is really really bad to get the exact colour!
-
I looked at the montana green and its not as turquoise as the car posted above.
-
It's monza blue, I'm sure of it, type mk2 golf monza blue in google images, I think late mk2's early mk3's came in this colour but you don't see many

vw don't list a monza blue for the mk3 (I know the colour is similar though)
-
yeah montana green looks a little too light i think. Monza blue looks more promising but the lack of mk3's in that colour puts me off. perhaps it is capri green after all
a tad annoying this is. I want to get to work refurbing this car asap!
