Title: All inclusive holidays - Egypt
Post by: scarr89 on 06 April 2013, 22:17
Who has/does book AI holidays and what have your experiences been of them?

Just booked my first off the cuff holiday to Egypt, a breif 4 nighter and a 4* hote, return flights & transfers, AI all for under £400!? Shocked at how cheap...I am just waiting for the cockroach infestation when I arrive. Reviews are good thought so I have a glimmer of hope.

Any one been to Sharam El Shak? What is there to do?

In sharm itself there is markets and what not there's a couple of nightclubs I never left out resort other than to go quadbiking in the desert which is just outside sharm and to go to the pyramids for the day there was no need for us to leave the resort as it had everything... As your going for a short one I'm sure your resort will keep u busy...  I went with Thomson no issues other than we got shafted out of premium seats and coach seats are so small it's ridiculous

Personally I wouldn't go all the way there just for four nights.

Done a couple of AI in Fuertaventura which were great, especially if you like a drink! Basically semi drunk for a week solid. 8)  I've read a few reviews from various places that say the food can get a bit samey.

We're off to Portugal in may for a AI week so hopefully should be decent. :)

Brill, cheers mate. I intend on just eating and drinking lots.

Would you recommend a trip to the pyramids and quads like you said?

Personally I wouldn't go all the way there just for four nights.

I have never been, and me my lady friend decided to go for a quick break, we could have gotten 2/3 nights in a European city and then this last minute deal popped up, seemed silly not to, new experience at a reasonable price. However I did go back and book the in flight meal after seeing your comment, didn't realise it was almost a 6 hour flight  :embarrassed:

Cairo smells and is full of beggars anyway! Went to Sharm a couple years back. Great value for money and like 35'c and beaming sunshine at 7:30am!!!

Tipping is a big deal in Egypt, but I didn't know what was the right amount? I gave the lad who took our cases to the room just 1 US dollar, and he left with a beaming smile. Found out it was like a months wages!

Head down to the beach if you can, but mind the jellyfish and the sharks that have munched a couple people in the last few years!! :lipsrsealed:
