Has anyone replaced the 2 and saw a decent difference?

Please dont go recommending a quick shift as its not that thats the problem its the side to side movement and general worn feel !

There is small bushes down there somwhere which aparently is the reason for wobbly gear knob. I was going to replace them on my gti but then 3 years passed :lipsrsealed:

shifter bushes do seem to have a bit of play in them even from new

had a look at getting a diesel geek short shifter a while back that should tighten up feel a lot but expensive.

those 42 draft design bushes should do the same as well

One of the pics shows you where the pivot bush fits (which is the one you don't know about)

Yeah you should be able to pull the gearknob up enough to get the pivot bush out
