Has anyone replaced the 2 and saw a decent difference?
Please dont go recommending a quick shift as its not that thats the problem its the side to side movement and general worn feel !

There is small bushes down there somwhere which aparently is the reason for wobbly gear knob. I was going to replace them on my gti but then 3 years passed :lipsrsealed:

shifter bushes do seem to have a bit of play in them even from new
had a look at getting a diesel geek short shifter a while back that should tighten up feel a lot but expensive.
those 42 draft design bushes should do the same as well

Wazzer cheers for the link but i can honestly say ..... Not a fooking clue what is going on in that how to lol care to explain :D

One of the pics shows you where the pivot bush fits (which is the one you don't know about)
-
God i hate not knowing stuff ! So its just the couple of torx bits on the gold plate thing pop the bush out job done ? I presume the other bits dont apply to me? Dropping the exhaust ect ?
-
Yeah you should be able to pull the gearknob up enough to get the pivot bush out

Sweet cheers for that bud ! Im currently future proofing everything so when it gets mapped it doesnt cause problems/fall apart !
