Title: High pitched noise from O/S wheel turning left

Hi all,

I've noticed quite an annoying high pitched noise when turning left in my mk4 Golf gti recently coming form the offside front wheel area. It's not constant but seems to appear when i turn left... It's become louder and louder and so I took it to VW, surprise surprise they couldn't hear it - so I'm taking it back to take a technician out with me.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what this might be to give them something to think about?

Hi all.... i had something very similar the other day ( new owner )

i had it into the dealers with it and it turned out to be a loose heat guard under the car ... not sure exactly where but im guessing exhaust area !

the sound i got was a high pitched almost resinating/metallic sound on left turn more prominent  :huh:

problem sorted in 5 mins ... once the fault was identified
