Title: MK3 Speaker wires colour help

I am trying to find out the + and - of a Golf MK3 front doors speaker wires as in what colours are what.

Any ideas?

I had this problem myself Paul.
Sure somebody told me when I was changing door and dash speakers but cant find the posts.

I always thought it was red was power n brown was earth, but could be wrong

No there are a mixture of grey and brown stripes or yellow and green stripes, but not sure!

I never had all them colours on mine might be why I couldn't them to work, lol. I know at some point someone had fitted a big system at some time cuz there was amp and power cables left all over the place it was a mess.
