I opted for the standard Discover Navigation on my new gti. I'm thinking now maybe I should go for the Pro version instead. But it's a grand more! Has anyone used/tested both? What are the main differences and is it worth the extra £990?

It's was more a question of is there something really good in the Pro that I would be missing out on?
I guess looking at the specs side by side now, it seems that the stand out features are the 8" screen and 3D map view. Which would be nice but not worth a grand.

I think you're right. The main thing seems to be the larger screen/voice controls but again I don't think it's worth the extra grand. The nav will still direct you either way!

Ye I think I'll stick with the standard, does the job as you said. Also, now that I've got my discount as a whole, I wouldn't be able to shave any more of the Pro.

sure there will be a flock of people buying the Dicovery Pro of eBay along with a replacement surrond, just as many swapped their RCD310 for a RNS510
