Title: Missing sat nav interface

Hello to everyone !
I am pretty much about to sign on the dotted line tomorrow for a 61 plate golf gti dsg.
Do any of you fellas know why it does not have the large media head unit but rather a standard display ?
I would really appreciate any advice.

Hi stunty what spec is the gti that you are getting  :cool: the rns 510 is the satnav I think you are on about  :undecided:

Sorry to sound stupid but when you say what spec could you clarify a bit ?
It seems to have everything factory fitted but without this media interface ?
I think before signing I'll query it with the dealership.
P.S. I tee off at 11:30 tomorrow!!

The mk6 GTI didn't get sat nav as standard. The standard head unit for the GTI was the RCD310, with the option to upgrade to the RCD510 touch screen unit (without Sat Nav) or the RNS510, with sat nav.

If you Google RCD310, RCD510 and RNS510, you'll be able to see what each unit looks like, which will help you identify which one is in the car you're looking to buy. Link below highlights the technical differences.

If it has the 'standard' display, this suggests it's fitted with the RCD310 unit.

Thanks guys for the replies,very much appreciated.All going well there will be a diamond black Gti on the driveway and a very sad farewell to my TT 3.2 v6.

my spec is as below this post. wish I could join you on the tee tomorrow but I gotta pick my wife and Georgia ( new born )up from the hospital  :smiley: :wink: :cool: :grin: :laugh:hope you have a good round :cool:

Is the GTI from the dealers...? If so have you got a link to the car in question that includes interior pics as we cud tell you on the spot which entertainment system it has in it...
