Whats your opinions on this new phone?
-
it'll ring and text people.
-
lets hope its not built like the S3 :lipsrsealed:
-
I had a little look into it and it doesnt sound mind blowing by any means. So i just upgraded to to the Sony xperia Z instead of waiting for it.

My S3 is pretty solid, whats wrong wiv em, how long have I got
If I was buying a phone at cost i.e out of my own pocket, I would hold on for a bit or just get a free contract phone, there is some good stuff coming out in about 18 months :lipsrsealed:
-
Software wise its great, but the little camera cover came off within a week. the amount of crap that made it into the camera module itself was unbelievable... literally couldnt take pics. Now its clean and the thing doesnt focus
Screen isnt as scratch resistant as they make out...
Everynow and again when i put the phone down (normal & gentle) it will act like the sd card had been removed then prepared again... losing playlists etc
It went through a phase where it would only charge of an in car charger
Still think its a good phone and still happy i upgraded from a 4S.... just my iphone was built like an old volvo compared

How come?
Had mine since last June and nothing wrong with it at all, never crashed or had no problems with it at all.
Used a leather case since owning it, so not even one scratch on it.
-
also the music dont go loud enough with earphones etc

I've had mine three months and its been great, I did buy a case and all the bits as it needs to last.
I must say it has surprised me in what it can do, work never leaves me now ggrrrr

I'm disappointed the S4 has an even larger screen, 4.8" is more than enough for a f@cking phone !

Had mine since late July(ish) and not had any thing like that go wrong, I had a lock up problem but fixed that with fstrim. Most mobile companies give you a 2 year warranty with your phone, which is the good thing about getting one on contract as apposed to buying it out right and only getting a year (2 year if on credit card but also more hassle) - either way its less than a year old still, so go get it sorted out properly!

Evolution not a revolution.
Revolution will be next year

Hope so! as long as the revolution isn't a 3D screen, or built in projector.

I have to admit I have an S2 and love it although some days I think its just too big. Thinking S3 mini next time.
-
If anybody is getting an S4 you should buy it on Three. Free phone unlimited internet and only 35 a month.
-
And no network coverage ;)
-
Nah. Three is loads better now. Swapped last year from Vodafone. Three has a far better/faster data transfer.
-
Jay you mention about the S4 having a bigger screen than the S3 which I also thought was completely unnecessary but if I'm correct I'm sure I read the actual dimensions on the handset were no larger and was in fact marginally thinner.

It's more to do with the screen size and thumb reach when using it one handed, which is sometimes hard on a 4.8" screen so if they keep making the screen larger with each new Galaxy S series it'll get harder to do so. I hope they stick with 5" and don't go larger on the S5 otherwise you might as well have a Note!

Forgot to mention yesterday, has anyone had any issues with the S3 battery as mine is sh!te since the last update and occasionally takes forever to charge. So much so that if I use the phone whilst it's charging it will run of juice faster than charger can put it back in. :undecided:
-
Nope. How long ago and which network are you on? What baseband are you on?
-
Get the HTC One instead. It's better. Chelsea has the S4, I've the HTC One, I think mine's better.

I had a problem with charging on mine, turned out to be the cable. Read a few stories online about the same problem and it seems the original cable is rubbish.

No thanks, had 3 HOX's before going for my S3. Don't know what the HOX+ is like but the original one is absolute balls.
-
Think you're getting confused Khare. I'm talking about the HTC One (nothing at the end, no letters).
That and the S4 are the best phones out right now (they say).

My wife had the same problem with her original cable, after a few weeks of borrowing mine (and forgetting to put it back on my side of the bed) she said that her cable doesn't charge her phone. The HTC One is MUCH better than the HOX or HOX+ in so many ways - lets just hope the internal components are too... (HOX+ was the LTE/4G version of the HOX)

Well I had to send mine back as I found a dead pixel. Getting the replacement on this week though.
-
How the feck did you manage to find a dead pixel on a display with 469 pixels per inch?!

 I did, and it was bugging the hell out of me. Replaced the black one for a silver though, as the black got prints on the rear too easily.
