Title: My Golf Match TSI Spruce Up!
Post by: MK6-Fan on 04 April 2013, 21:16
Gave my Golf 1.4 TSI (122) a spruce up at the weekend, it didn't need much doing to it as I'd already washed it 1 week previously.

So it got:

2 bucket method (Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo)
1 layer of Autoglym HD Wax on the bodywork
2 layers of MER Polish on the numberplates
Turtle Wax Wet 'n' Black tyre shine
Turtle Wax Alloy Wheel Clean

Looks nice...

Was a little disturbed by the first pic as it looks like there's ripples in the bonnet...

I've tried the Wet n' Black myself recently as I needed a gel asap as I ran out while'st cleaning the motor but tbh I wasn't that impressed, when your in the market for another tyre gel my personal faves are Megs Indurance and Blackfire Total Eclipse, give these a wirl...

Cheers Mr GTD.

Haha, yeah that's just the clouds making the bonnet look rippled - it's spotless apart from that!

I really do like the Wet n Black & find durable enough & will contunue to buy it.

I will give the Megs & Blackfire gel a try sometime too. How durable do you find they are respectively?

Looks great, some great sky/cloud reflections

I usually use Megs Endurance but have also tried Chemical Guys new look trim gel, prefer the Megs though.  Might try Blackfire next.  Also depends whether you prefer a gloss or matt finish - gloss for me
