Title: PLEASE HELP MK4 FRONT STRUT REMOVAL

Having trouble removing front struts on my mk4 gti so i can fit loer springs did the rears without issue but fronts are being difficult . the balljoint on wishbone is spinning and cant get nut off ? and no room as it hits drive shaft ? tried jack underneath it still spins tried clamping it still spins PLEASE HELP GUYS ! :smiley:

Hi mate jacking from below the ball joint has worked for me every time may I suggest try jacking again as much as you dare then see if you can shock it with a hammer ,it may just tighten the taper enough to get the nut undone, or cut it below the nut and replace  :smiley:

Which nut?

I just hit the hub with a hammer until the strut came out. I can't remember if I removed the DS or not  :undecided:
