Title: Almost stalling when at quarter tank of fuel.
Post by: MoshiMoshi on 03 April 2013, 00:22
Hi all,

Got a weird issue with the golf. Recently when I run it down past about a quarter of a tank, whenever I start it up, I get a rough idle and no power/stalling when I pull away. This can only be solved by me plugging in my code reader, clearing the fault codes (even if I have none) and then restarting the engine. It's very strange as this only ever happens when I'm low on fuel. Of course I'm not ever empty and the fuel light never comes on.

Any ideas?

No relevant fault codes, only the usual 17705.

Thanks :D

Fuel filter/pump issues maybe?

Could be its reading you have quarter tank but really are on the red :lipsrsealed:happened to my mates seat leon his was constantly showing above half a tank  was some sensor or something on fuel tank something like that. Ill ask him for you what the garage exactly changed.

Would go for fuel filter first £6 job
