Title: mk4 golf 18t - gti can i put different engine in my gti if so what engine

hi i got a 18turbo but engine is naffed can i fit another engine in like a 20 litre gti or 1.8 gti wiyhout alot of fuss  :smiley:

I don't understand why you would want to put a 2.0 or 1.8n/a engine in? 1.8T lumps can be had for next to nothing and they are the best engine out of the ones mentioned, just stick another one in and be done with it.

yeah i know that but the cheapest one i found costs 400

wouldn't bother putting a 2.0 or a 1.8n/a you will only be disappointed. worth checking your local breakers?

£400 for an engine I'd say is a pretty good price, I'd be very optimistic about putting a cheaper one in :lipsrsealed:

008p replaced the 007p, whats that got to do with this thread though?
