i upgraded my 17's to Monza 18's on my mark 5 the way to go all day long, still got the 17's in the shed gunna use them as winter wheels when the piggy bank is full again to buy some tyres :smiley:

A mate of mine has one in it, same age as yours, and it always looks great.
He has BBS CHs on his, red GTI badges and above the swage line on the lower half of the rear bumper painted laser blue, and it looks superb.

also whats your colour code? i was under the impression i bought a laser blue, but think its actually a shadow blue. my code is LD5Q

not that thats made me dislike my car, like you said nearly every other golf is black or silver, still only seen one other gti in what i think is the same colour as mine.

It's a good few shades darker.
I'm pretty sure LD5Q is shadow blue.

Still don't know why VW stopped making them. I think its something to do with sales numbers which doesn't make sense as its a great colour.
